global citizenship

A feeling of global citizenship is motivated by local interests from the love of family, communal fairness, self-interest as well as global interests such as recycling, controle burning, clean ups, animal rehab/ support also a sense of universal equality, and care for fellow humans as well as human rights and human dignity.

improving 08 09

Through out my first semester at Lees-McRae i have did fairly good but not good enough to get out of study hall i averaged just under a 3.0 GPA. But i am proud of my self with the grades i have received i wish i would have preformed to make a higher grade in psychology and i know i could have did that if i would have set down and studied a little longer. Now with my classes this semester i hope to preform to my highest expectations.

liberal arts

A liberal arts education allows a student to learn about a vast amount of subjects. By doing so the student is not limited to one specific field of study. Instead, students gain knowledge about many different subject matters. This allows for a better overall knowledge about all aspects of the world we live in. Students can then understand, comprehend, and communicate in our ever-changing society.

college tour

the college tour discussed the the topic on stress and how the took it so far that she started cutting her wrist. In college stress reaches a higher level then at a younger age. For me managing my time from softball and class work puts me under a lot of stress on me. also not have your family there to suport me has changed my out look on things so when there are down times it put more stress on me. so i could relate to the girl on stress but i would never have the same results as she did by cutting her self.

what i think of drinking!

I personally dont like drinking but many people do as known there 80% of the college that drinks but only 20% are alcoholics. Most people go to parties to have fun and hang out with friend and just meet new people and sometimes people are just bored and just trying to find something to do

living without fear

I think living with out fear is imposable in a day to day base. People put fear in my life everyday from trying to reach such high expectation and not reaching them according to their thoughts. I try to over come my fear almost everyday by not backing down and standing strong. so even though i have fear in my life I try to over come my fears by fighting them everyday.

economic situation

wow! The economic situation, have you ever thought have everyday life is messed up by this. I mean, look at the gas prices or the tax sales. Just think how much more money we would have if we didn't have to fix the past and we just look toward the future. The life we would have would be less stressful for everyone. Look at us now we are scared to go anywhere because we don't know if we will have gas to get back. i know i have slimmed down on the places i go because of the gas shortage. But it's how we have to live we just have to dill with it.
