Mountain day has been a tradition since 1900. I think it’s a very important aspect here at Lees McRae not only is it a day to help the community but it’s a day that we can become close as a family. Also most of the time the things people do or how they react to something has came from their culture. Almost like most cultures in the US celebrate Christmas but then it depends on your religion. There are also things like food that has came from people culture that some people see as nasty but if you have been raised that way it’s the way you know.
